Internship Program

The Institute of Psychological Sciences and Research offers an enriching internship experience designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application in the field of psychology.

Our internship programme provides students with opportunities to gain hands-on exposure to psychological concepts, professional practices, research, assessment, counselling, child and adolescent development, mental health, and applied psychology. Through structured learning experiences, guided activities, discussions, case-based learning, and daily practical assignments and presentations, interns are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of how psychological knowledge is applied in real-world settings.

The programme is designed to nurture professional skills, critical thinking, ethical awareness, observation, communication, research orientation, and practical understanding among aspiring psychology professionals.

Interns receive guidance from experienced professionals and faculty members and are encouraged to actively engage in learning, reflection, documentation, and skill development throughout their internship.

What Interns Gain:

  • Practical exposure to the field of psychology
  • Understanding of professional roles and responsibilities
  • Exposure to psychological assessment and observation
  • Introduction to counselling and helping skills
  • Research and academic skill development
  • Case-based and experiential learning
  • Development of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Awareness of professional ethics and confidentiality
  • Opportunities to connect theoretical knowledge with practical applications
  • A structured environment for professional and personal growth

At IOPSR India, we believe that an internship should go beyond fulfilling an academic requirement. It should be an opportunity to explore, learn, observe, develop professional competencies, and discover one's potential as a future psychology professional.
